Six rules for hiring an AC technician in Trinidad
Most bad AC jobs come down to the same few mistakes. Avoid them and you avoid most of the risk.
Get the price first
For the repair or install, including parts and gas. Agree it before work starts.
Leak before gas
If it needs gas, ask where the leak is and how it will be fixed. Top-ups alone don't last.
Ask to see the fault
A good technician shows you the dirty coil, the burnt capacitor or the leak.
Size it right
For new units, ask how the BTU size was chosen for your room.
Check it cools
Before the technician leaves, check the air is cold and the drain is running outside.
Keep the paperwork
Receipts, the model number and any warranty on parts or installation.
