Why isn't my AC cooling?

Dirty filter & coil
The most common cause. Dust blocks the air, so the room cools slowly and the coil can ice up.

Why is my AC blowing but not cooling?
Common causes are a dirty filter or coil, a failed capacitor on the outdoor unit, or low gas from a leak. A technician can test each one.
Why is my AC leaking water inside?
Usually a blocked drain line or a dirty coil that ices up and then melts. Clearing the drain and cleaning the coil usually fixes it.
Is it worth repairing an old AC?
If the repair is small, yes. If an older unit needs a new compressor, a new inverter unit can cost little more and use less electricity. Get both prices and compare.
